Southeast Asia is a part of Asia lying to the south of China and east of the Indian subcontinent. The mainland part of it consists of Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, while the insular part includes Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Indonesia, the Philippines and East Timor. The region is inhabited mainly by Austronesian people. Most countries of Southeast Asia have Chinese minorities. The predominant religions are Buddhism and Islam. Southeast Asian economies have been developing at a rapid pace over the past two decades and today a number of southeast countries have reached a good level of development (primarily Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei and Thailand). Note: there is no gallery of the Philippines because I haven't yet had the chance to travel to this country. Quite likely however I'll visit the Philippines sooner or later.
