Desaru

Desaru is a coastal resort area consisting of a 20km long sandy beach with several resorts located in southeastern Johor, about 20km northeast of Singapore. It's a relatively relaxed and laid back area, not receiving many western tourists. The beach is pleasant, although the sea water is not crystal clear. Near Desaru lies the Desaru fruit farm, basically a farm open for tourists where various types of tropical plants and trees are grown.
