Villages and people

On the Bolaven plateau there is a multitude of villages with houses built in the traditional style built on stilts, with wooden walls made of bamboo and roofs made of leaves of a tree. Some houses use tin roofs. The Bolaven people live mainly of agriculture. The local people do not see yet too many western tourists and are very friendly.
