Lake Inle Temples

Some pictures of the temples of lake Inle. The main temple is the Phaung Daw U pagoda, one of the principal shrines in Myanmar. It houses five 12th century Buddha images, which have lost their shape, because the pilgrims constantly plaster them with gold leaf.
