In the centre of Pulau Tiga (a 1.2km or 20 minutes walk from the resort) there is a mud volcano, where tourists can take a bath in some mud pools. Further inland there is another mud volcano. The mud is said to have therapeutic properties. People can take a bath in the mud, but have to walk back to the beach to clean themselves because there are no showers or facilities of any kind next to the mud pools.
People advise to come to the mud pools carrying a bottle of water so that at least the feet can be rinsed (the mud on the feet could make the feet slippery). The mud pools are not hot.
