Sri Ruthra Veeramuthu Mama Mariamman Devasthanam is another beautiful Hindu temple in Pinang. It is located west of Georgetown, very close to the Kek Lok Si temple and is one of the oldest Hindu temples in Pinang. It started as a small shrine in 1886 and was expanded to a complete temple in 1920. The temple was completely renovated between 2003 and 2009. In the process a 9m tall gopura tower was added. The temple hosts statues of the most important Hindu gods and goddesses.
