Pulau Manukan is the second largest of the islands of the Tunku Abdul Rahman national park. It has the shape of a banana with some long beaches on its southern side. On Manukan there is an expensive resort, with 20 units of chalets, a clubhouse, a few restaurants and a diving centre. The sea water quality is rather mediocre. Pulau Manukan is a popular daytrip destination for people residing in Kota Kinabalu.
