Located on the southern coast of Cyprus 60km southwest of Nicosia and 60km west of Larnaca, Limassol (also known as Lemesos) is the second largest city of Cyprus with 184000 inhabitants. The historic core of Limassol is relatively small and doesn't have many sights except for a castle and the Ayia Napa cathedral. Limassol is not that interesting from a tourist perspective but is a good location from which to explore the historical sites of Amathus, Kourion and the Kolossi castle. Limassol has probably been settled since 2000 BC, but only started to flourish after the decline of Amathus and Kourion. My Mall is a modern shopping mall which opened in 2009. It is located 6km southwest of Limassol and consists of 95 stores spread over 40000 m² of space.
