Lower Saxony
Lower Saxony is a state in northwestern Germany with a long coastline. It's territory consists mostly of flat plains. Along the coast is the chain of the East Frisian islands. Lower Saxony was created by the merger of the former state of Hanover with several smaller states in 1946. It's capital is the city of Hanover.
