Scenery between Urumqi and Turpan

The territory between Urumqi and Turpan is mostly desertic or semidesertic. About half an hour from Urumqi along the motorway to Turpan there is a huge wind farm with a large number of wind turbines. The motorway itself is a modern highway with few curves. Shortly before Turpan the motorway passes through a series of hills.
