Other churches

Together with the Lavra monastery St Sophia cathedral has been a UNESCO worl heritage site since 1990. It was built in the 11th century and nowadays houses a museum. The church of St Andrew was buiilt between 1747 and 1754 in Baroque style. It is on a hill in the Podil area, overlooking the Dnepr river. The St Nicholas Wondermaker on the Water church is a small building on the Dniepr river.
