Xinyi

The eastern part of Taipei is centered around the Taipei 101 skyscraper and extends over 11 km². This is an area of modern buildings, flashy shopping malls and department stores and five star hotels. The Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall was completed in 1972 and contains a museum dedicated to him and a multipurpose civic centre. Other attractions in this area (besides Taipei 101) include the Taipei City Hall, the Shin Kong Mitsukoshi department store, the Taipei World Trade centre, the Vieshow cinemas and the ATT 4 Fun mall.
