Old town

The old town of Barcelona roughly extends from the waterfront and harbour until Placa da Catalunya where the Eixample district starts. In this area there are a number of old buildings, some of which dating back to the Middle Ages, immersed in a maze of narrow alleys and the cathedral of Barcelona.
