On the islands of Nørvøya and Aspøya there are some viewpoints offering nice views of the city. On Nørvøya there is the Aksla viewpoint, reachable via a forest trail or a staircase from the city centre. On Aspøya island there is the Storhaugen viewpoint with views towards the east. The Aspøy school is a primary school built in Baroque Revival architecture between 1919 and 1922.
