Mt Vodno is a mountain overlooking Skopje, located a few km southwest of the city. With an altitude of 1066m Mt Vodno is not particularly high. A cablecar connects Skopje with Mt Vodno. On the slopes of Mt Vodno, at 600m of altitude, there is a Macedonian village, an open air museum with replicas of traditional Macedonian houses and a restaurant. This Macedonian village is accessible by car from Skopje and has an own parking. Next to it is the Saint Pantelejmon monastery, a Byzantine church built in 1164. Further down the slopes there is another parking with a good view of Skopje.
