Modern Beirut

Most of Beirut nowadays consists of modern buildings, because many old or historical buildings were destroyed during the Lebanese civil war of 1975-90. In Solidere there are modern and stylish buildings. Hamra is a neighbourhood of Beirut with top fashion stores, many restaurants, cafes, and hotels.
