The Humayun tomb is located in a large compound in Delhi, close to the banks of the Yamuna river, measuring about 800m x 400m. Inside the compound is the tomb of the Mughal emperor Humayun, who lived between 1508 and 1556. The complex includes the main Humayun mausoleum, some gardens, other structures and the Isa Khan tomb. The HUmayun tomb has been a UNESCO world heritage site since 1993.
