Change of the guard

The Evzones are an elite Greek ceremonial unit of presidential guard, whose traditional uniform consists of the Fustanella, a skirt-like garment. They stand guard at the monument of the Unknown Soldier in Syntagma square next to the Parliament building. Once per hour a change of guard takes place, during which a new Evzone unit marching in formation according to a pre-defined protocol replace the Evzone unit who has been guarding the parliament for the previous hour.
