The evolution of Paris and its history can be experienced from the river Seine. Along its banks you can see the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower, the Place de la Concorde, the Grand and Petit Palais, the Cathedral of Notre-Dame and the Sainte Chapelle. The French architecture of the late 19th century has influenced the rest of the world. The Banks of the Seine river have been a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1991.
