Starting from Helsinki it is possible to drive by car to the North Cape (1519km distance) in two days. After a short motorway section in the Helsinki area the road quickly becomes a long distance national road with just one lane per direction. The Finnish national road 4 connects Helsinki with Utsjoki, the northernmost point in Finland. It is part of the European route E75. To drive to the North Cape, drivers leave the E75 after the Inari lake in Länsiranta, taking the road Nr 92 which crosses the mountain range into Norway.
