The Lokrum island is a small island with a rocky coastline located one km south of the old twon of Dubrovnik. Northwest of the old town is a large bay (the Gruz harbour), which is used by cruise ships and ferries as a harbour. The coastline around Dubrovnik is mostly steep and rocky.
