The Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon glass bridge, opened in 2016, is the world’s longest and highest glass-bottomed bridge, spanning 430m in length and suspended 300m above the canyon floor. Located near Wulingyuan District, this engineering marvel can support 800 visitors simultaneously and features a bungee jump platform, one of the world’s highest at 260m. Beneath it lies the Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon, a 15km long fissure with sheer cliffs, waterfalls, and the emerald-green Liuyang river. The canyon’s narrowest section, "One-Line Sky", measures just 3 metres wide, while its lush vegetation shelters rare species like the Chinese giant salamander. Together, the bridge and canyon offer a thrilling blend of natural wonder and human ingenuity.
