Yangtze river

The Yangtze river (also known as Yangtse or Chang Jiang in Chinese) is with 6211 km Asia's longest river and flows through Chongqing. For many tourists Chongqing is the departure point of cruises along the river through the Three Gorges. The Yangtze river is a major waterway in China used by ships and freighters. In Chongqing there are two cable railways which cross the river.
