Badaling (八达岭, Bādálǐng in Chinese) is one of the most visited sections of the Great Wall in China. It lies approx. 80km nprthwest of Beijing. The Badaling Great Wall was built in 1504 during the Ming Dynasty, along with a military outpost reflecting the location's strategic importance. The highest point is Beibalou (北八樓) at 1015m of altitude.
