Airport

The Baku airport (Heydar Aliyev International Airport) is located about 20km northeast of Baku. It is a small, but relatively modern airport, consisting of a national terminal (terminal 2, completed in 1989) and an international terminal (terminal 1, completed in 2014). The airport has two runways, a 3995m by 60m and a 3200m by 45m one. A Sheraton hotel with 205 rooms is located at the airport. The airport is connected with Baku by two modern highways.
